In this new series, I’m going to feature fellow creators and social media influencer all over the web, our first guest is Buster Scher, a social media influencer, entrepreneur, and huge Knicks fan. If you are a basketball fan, you’ve definitely heard about Hoops Nation
Let’s talk about his feed. Hoops Nation strives to talk about and share media all about the NBA, College/High School, and overseas leagues. His website, created in December 2016, creates content from its writers, it’s Instagram which currently hosts an astounding 533 thousand followers, a Snapchat, and the social platform that started it all, Facebook, with 683K followers.
Buster says that his primary motivation and force for his social media presence is “To get to as many people as possible.” That really shows that he cares about what he does.
What really amazes me is what is his underlying mission for all of this?
“It gives the people the power. EVERYONE. If you have the talent and the work ethic… Your location, race, wealth, etc wont stop you. You have the power. The question is what are you gonna do not how.”
He works hard for his success. He isn’t some guy who bought followers and blew up, he has around 25 posts daily on Instagram alone, and many, many posts on his Facebook and Snapchat as well.
Along with his other notable works on social media, he hosts a show on the basketball media company “Overtime“. Scher also has his podcast in which he gets some big names to come on out and talk about hoops and just what’s going on in the ball world.
What about new influencers? Well, Buster encourages newer people in to “Stay consistent and don’t focus on numbers.
Scher’s primary focuses for 2018 is to”Work harder, longer and focus on what matters. Not some of the little day-to-day petty stuff. Also to fulfill a few personal things.”
